While I've always enjoyed Stephen king-ish horror, I've never gotten into the kind of sadistic stories you're talking about. They just never did anything for me.
My agent is working on foreign rights for the series, so I'm hoping something happens down in Australia. I'm already doing a book swap with Simon Hayes and his Hal Spacejock books!
I think the web site is a great idea to keep in touch with fans. By way of anecdote, I really enjoy George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire books and have been to two book signings over the last 5 years or so. I use his web site to check in a couple times a year to see what he's up to. I hope you'll be able to use your web site in the same way.
You should change the format of the headings on pages. Right now, several of the headings are blue and underlined which makes them look like they should be links. Of course, they aren't links and this was annoying when I first went to check the "blog" page. I couldn't click on the big, bold, blue, underlined text that said blog. I had to click on the small, red, not-underlined text to get back to the blog.
It's not that it took me any time to figure out, it's just that I had to think about it at all to find the link that I found annoying.
Hi Weldon. Yes, I check out Martin's site too and expect to use it much the same way. It will definitely be expanding over time.
I wondered if people would think the headings were links, but since the style sheet had all other links as red, I thought it would be okay. I guess old habits die hard. I changed the H3 tag (which tells the headings what color and style to be) to be a kind of brick red color, not underlined. Hope this helps.
I think that this is an improvement. The blue stuck out dramatically and the brick red is more in line with the rest of the color scheme. The small brighter red links stand out more on the page now.
